Shivani Pde

Writer

Shivani Pde left corporate life and began writing during the covid era. She grew up reading Nancy Drew, The Hardy Boys, and Ruskin Bond, which shaped her interest in storytelling. Her work explores discomfort, power, and identity, influenced by Edgar Allan Poe and Jonas Mekas.

Besides writing, she works with music on Ableton, creates content for social media, hosts a podcast on Spotify, occasionally writes for the newspaper and rides motorbikes. She believes writing should be a cross-pollination of worlds that were never meant to coexist, an amalgamation of ideas into a synchronistic harmony, much like music. She writes to metabolize feelings and transmute her scattered thoughts into a coherent order, without killing the chaos. Writing should be what people often avoid- raw, untamed, edgy, meant to make you stop and introspect.
