Charandeep Singh

Brigadier Charandeep Singh, Sena Medal, is a sixth-generation soldier and third-generation Assam Regiment officer with over 38 years of distinguished service, including 34 years in the Indian Army and later as Special DIG (Training), Assam Police.

A veteran of counter-insurgency operations in Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Assam and Tripura, he has trained over 13,000 police personnel and commandos, helped establish Assam’s first SWAT teams and Special Response Unit, and played a key role in developing the Lachit Barphukan Police Academy into a nationally respected institution.

He was also part of the founding team of the Army’s F-INSAS project. Brigadier Singh is a recipient of the Sena Medal and several Army and Police commendations to include Union Home Minister Appreciation & CM Assam Medal & CM Manipur Appreciation.

A passionate Harley rider, he has ridden across India for over a decade and currently rides a Harley-Davidson Road King.
